Trauma X-ray - Upper limb
Tutorial introduction
This tutorial discusses the X-ray appearances of upper limb trauma. Examples of the commonest injuries seen on X-ray are shown, with normal images for comparison.
Features of common bone injuries are shown, which should be considered with an awareness of principles as discussed in the 'General principles' and 'Introduction to trauma X-ray' tutorials.
The following tutorial is not considered core undergraduate knowledge, but is more appropriate as an introduction to upper limb trauma X-ray for those working in the emergency department.
